Mandarin Oak takes its name from an Oak tree in the Oak Forest of Lintong District, Xi'an, Shaanxi province in China where in dwelt a nameless monk. It's believed that no traveller who crossed that path left without a plate of his delicious food. Monk Zhu was the master behind this heavenly food and our recipes take cue from the simple yet beautiful food from the province. And thankfully, we now come to you!
