What Are Jio No Daily Data Limit Plans?

Reliance Jio has come up with a new option for users. Now, the users can choose recharge plans with No Daily data limit plans. If you are a Jio user you would be aware of the daily data limit which is applicable to most plans of the telecom operator.

If you choose Jio data plans that offer unlimited daily data but no voice calling. Therefore, Jio has introduced 5 new plans under the No Daily Data limit. These plans are also called Freedom Plans as users no longer have to worry about the daily data limit. They get freedom from the daily data limit.

Reliance Jio Freedom Plans Detail

Reliance Jio has launched 5 new plans with no daily data limit. These plans have been introduced for Jio who don’t want to be restricted by a daily data limit. The company already has unlimited plans with 1 GB, 1.5 GB, 2GB, and 3GB of data per day. But the speed of these plans is reduced to 64Kbps once the user consumes the daily data limit.

However, Jio has data booster plans in place that help users extend their daily data limit. These plans provide some relief to users but imagine if you are in a middle of an important video call and your daily data limit is consumed the speed will be reduced and you will be longer able to complete the call. It can take some time to recharge and get connected again.

If you have experienced such a situation before then you will realize the importance of having a plan with no daily data limit.

Jio Freedom Plan Price

Jio Freedom plans with no daily data limit are currently available at Rs. 127, Rs. 247, Rs. 447. Rs. 597, and Rs. 2,397. In the no daily data limit plans category, the most affordable plan is priced at Rs. 127. The Rs. 127 plan comes with 12 GB of data while the Rs. 2,397 plan offers 365 GB data to users.

Another important to note in these new plans is that Jio has changed the validity. If you look at the Rs. 127 plan comes with 15 days validity. Similarly, the Rs. 247, Rs. 447, and Rs. 597 plan offer 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days validity.

Usually, the recharge plans of Jio, as well as other telecom companies, offer 14 days and 28 days validity.

Jio No Daily Data Limit Plans vs Unlimited plans

If you are a prepaid subscriber using an unlimited plan then you would be aware of the Daily data limit. Jio introduced the concept with the launch of its services in the country.

Although it is possible to increase the daily data limit of your plan with add-on data packs, the presence of one more option can be helpful for some users.

keeping the varying data usage limits in mind, Reliance Jio has introduced new prepaid plans with no daily data limit. These plans are slightly expensive than the unlimited plans of the company also the data allotted is lesser.

If you compare the Rs. 127 plan with the Rs. 98 plan of the company. You get 1-day additional validity with the Rs. 127 plan but the total benefits are less.

The Rs. 127 plan offers 12 GB of data while the Rs. 98 plan comes with 1.5GB of data per day for 14 days. So you get 21 GB of data with this plan.

So you have to choose between additional data and daily data limit. The preference will vary from user to user.

Jio Freedom Plans Review

The freedom plans introduced by Reliance Jio provide a different option to users. However, these plans are slightly expensive than the regular recharge plans of the company. Also, the total benefits are lower.

All the recharge plans introduced in this category except the Rs. 2,397 plans offer less than 1GB of data per day if you calculate the number of days and data allocated. Although there is no daily data limit, the total data benefits could have been more.

These plans seem to be targeted at users with irregular data usage. For instance: If you are someone who consumes 3 GB of data on one day and not much on the next 2-3 days then these plans prove useful.

As the data usage patterns vary so some users may find these plans appropriate but overall I think the data allotted is less.

If you compare the freedom plans with the regular plans of the company it is clearly visible that the price is higher and still the data allotted is less which means you are paying more for lesser data.

The daily data limit is a common pain point for most prepaid users in the country. Although the data booster plans introduced by telecom operators give users an option to extend their daily data limit. But in case of an emergency, the daily data limit can be a cause of discomfort. So Reliance Jio has introduced new prepaid plans with No Daily Data. These plans are already listed on Jio's website and the MyJio app.
