Amazon has finally launched its online food delivery operation in India. Amazon Food delivery has started on select locations of Bengaluru. Amazon will allow customers to order food from local restaurants and cloud kitchens. The new service is also helping local restaurants that are not able to serve food at their locations due to the lockdown.

Reportedly, Amazon was planning to launch its food delivery service in March. But the launch was delayed due to the lockdown imposed because of Coronavirus Pandemic. 

With its food delivery Amazon may offer special benefits to its Prime members as well. Recently, the e-commerce company made available Prime Gaming service for the members.
