The official announcement of Reliance Jio Fiber services has once again shaken the entire telecom industry. Three years back, the Jio boom has disrupted the market with its cheapest data plans. That somewhere compelled the other companies to drop their prices to stay in the market.
And now the recent announcement has forced the broadband service providers to take decisions to sustain their brand image in the market.
Doing the same, the broadband and digital Cable TV provider company Hathway has announced its cheapest broadband plan of 100 Mbps at just Rs.699.
Meanwhile, if you are interested in the Reliance Jio recent announcements, then check out the Jio Gigafiber Plan, Prices and offers.
Hathway’s 100Mbps broadband plan comes with a monthly fair-usage policy (FUP) or a total of 1TB data cap. The pricing of this plan is set to Rs.699/month to get the traction in Kolkata and other cities.
But in some other cities, like Chennai, the same plan costs Rs 949 per month. Apart from the 100 Mbps plan, Hathway has a 150Mbps, 200 Mbps, and 300 Mbps plan as well.
The broadband plan of 150 Mbps also offers 1TB of monthly FUP but for Rs 1,499 per month.
The company is also offering services like Lifelong Binge in selected towns, which lets a customer pick a 50Mbps lifetime broadband plan for Rs 399 per month.
It provides 100 Mbps speed.
With this plan, subscribers will be getting a total of 1TB of data.
Once the data ends, the speeds will be reduced to 3Mbps.
Along with the plan, subscribers will also get the Hathway Playbox.
Note: The Hathway Playbox is an Android TV box with support Chromecast and Google Assistant built-in.
As we have seen in the 42nd Annual General Meeting, the JioFiber broadband plans are confirmed to be priced between Rs 700 and Rs 10,000 where the base plan is expected to offer a 100Mbps bond with up to 1TB of monthly FUP.
So, the decision to reduce its 100Mbps plan to Rs. 699 is a good step by Hathway.
