The much-awaited Jio Fiber broadband service is unveiled by Reliance Industries. Jio fiber plans start at Rs. 699 per month and go up to Rs. 8,499 per month. 

The newly launched service will come bundled with wired broadband, television content, landline calling and a host of smart solutions such as multi-player gaming and video conferencing.

Jio Fiber has received over 15 million registrations from 1,600 cities, and the company has drawn up a plan to reach 20 million homes and 15 million business enterprises. Mukesh Ambani also announced Jio Set top box with smart fetaures.

Reliance Jio Giga Fiber Launched Date

The much-awaited Jio Gigafiber launch in India on 5th September 2019. The Jio Fibre broadband services will be available in 1,600 towns across the country.

On the company's 42nd annual general meeting, chairman Mukesh Ambani said that 'Reliance Jio is aiming to connect 1 billion homes on Jio IoT (internet of things) platform, which he identified as a more than Rs 20,000 crore revenue opportunity. Ambani said Jio is signing almost 10 million users every month.'

Reliance is also planning to attack into three other verticals, which includes Enterprise, Home Broadband and the third is MSME Broadband. Reliance Jio also plans to present a set-top box for Cable TV broadcasting. 

Ambani said the investment cycle in the telecom business had been completed. The company will require minimal investment for the shift into 5G regime when it's rolled out. 

Ambani announced unlimited ISD calling service from Jio landline at a fixed monthly rental of. 

Ambani said that the basic Jio Fiber would take place at 100 Mbps in India, at the very low end. We will go all the way to 1 Gbps as per the plan. At one-tenth of the global rate, we are going to price our plan and make it accessible for every home.

He further added, 'the plan is going to start at a monthly rental of Rs. 699 and goes up to Rs. 8,499. From mid-2020, the premium Jio Fiber customers will also get to watch new movies on the same day of its release.

The premium Jio Fiber customers can even watch movies at home on the very same day, the movie gets released in theatres. The new service will get launched in 2020. 

There will be 4 new engines of growth the Jio is betting on, which are the Internet of Things (IoT), SMEs and the Home and Enterprise broadband services. 

Jio has now become the largest operator in India, but it is the second-largest operator in the world. 

Jio Fiber Welcome Offer 

The Reliance Jio has announced the Welcome Offer for the New Jio Fiber customers who go for the JioForever annual plans. The Jio Welcome offer will involve a free Jio Home Gateway Device worth Rs. 5,000, Jio 4K Set-Top Box worth Rs. 6,400, Double data and two months of extra services. 

The Welcome Offer will include free three-month access to Jio Cinema and Jio Saavn apps for the Bronze Plan subscribers. 

The Silver Plan Subscribers will get a 3 months subscription for the OTT Apps.

The Gold, Titanium, Platinum, and Diamond Plan Subscriber will get an annual free subscription for OTT apps. It is still unclear which OTT apps will get included in the subscription plan. 

Jio Forever Plan

The Jio Fiber Subscribers for JioForever Gold annual Plan will get a Muse 2 Bluetooth Speaker for Free. 

The Silver annual plan subscriber will get Thump 2 Bluetooth Speakers.

Diamond and Platinum Subscribers will get a Free HD TV. Each plan will get a different size of the TV. 

Gold Plan Subscriber will get a 24-inch HD TV for free but only if the subscriber opts for a 2-year plan. Lastly, the Titanium Annual Plan Subscriber will get a 430inch 4K TV.

Six-month plans will come with one month of extra service and 50%  extra data, whereas the 3-month plan will provide 25% extra data. 

Jio Fiber Plans Broadband Plans, Prices and More

The basic Jio Fibre Plan will start at 100 Mbps and will go up to 1 Gbps. The price of the Jio Fibre plan is ranged from Rs. 699 till Rs. 8,499 rest will depend upon the usage.

The Rs. 699 plan is the cheapest data plan per month, and the speed of the plan will go up to 100 Mbps. 

The highest plan will come up at Rs. 8,499 a month, and the plan will provide access to broadband, Jio Home TV and Jio's IoT.

Reliance Jio is offering 6 prepaid plans which Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and Titanium plan. These plans will be charging every month. The monthly plans will also be providing long term plan for 3 months, 6 months, and 12-month plans.

Each of the Jio Fiber Plan will come with unlimited data download and upload. There will be FUP, starting from 100 GB on the base plan which is Bronze and goes up to 5000 GB for the top-end plan which is the Titanium plan. 

Jio is also offering free extra High-Speed data up to 250 GB, depending upon the plan. This extra data is separate from each plan's FUP limit. The 1Gbps plans won't get any extra free data. 

The Jio Fiber Plan will offer free domestic voice calls through a company's Landline Services, Gaming, TV Video calling, and Norton Antivirus for up to 5 devices. 

The Jio Fiber Platinum and Titanium plan users will also get access to the Jio VR platform, Jio First-Day First-Show movies service, and special sports content

Jio Fiber Adds Monthly & Weekly Prepaid Broadbrand Plans

Jio Fiber has come up with the new weekly and monthly prepaid broadband plan for the users. Both the new plans go along with the old plans starting from Rs. 699 and goes up to Rs. 8,499. 

The new Weekly and Monthly Plans are of Rs. 351 (Monthly) and Rs. 199 (weekly). The new Jio Fiber prepaid broadband plans bring benefits such as unlimited voice calls alongside data access and complimentary TV video calling.

Customers are choosing the Rs. 351 Jio Fiber plan will get 50GB data allocation at 10Mbps download speeds for a month. This is unlike the Rs. 199 Jio Fiber plan that brings unlimited data access at 100Mbps speeds for seven days

JioFiber Migration Plan

Reliance Jio has launched a new plan for Jio Fiber users who are still using the preview offer. Named as ‘Migration Plan’, Reliance Jio aims to bring users of its beta service to the commercial plans it began earlier this year.

The Jio Fiber Migration Plan is available for free to all the Jio Fiber users.
The Reliance Jio Fiber Migration Plan is valid for seven days with 50GB data for all the JioFiber Preview Users. The Preview User will get the data speed at 100Mbps. 

Once the data exhaust the speed will throttle to1Mbps. All the users will receive an SMS notification to alert about the activation of the Migration Plan.

Jio Fiber Installation Charges

There will be one time charges for the Installation of Jio Fiber that will be Rs. 2,500. Whereas Rs. 1,500 will get refunded as a security deposit for the Jio router. Remaining Rs. 1,000 will be non-refundable.
